Fire Prevention (UK) was formed in 2004 by Gary Bennett. Gary had spent a number of years in the Scottish Fire Service and during that time he achieved his Masters in Fire & Explosion Engineering. The initial objective was to provide alternative engineered solutions for the compliance of building standards along with support, training and assessment to property and business owners in the risk of fire with solutions to minimise that risk. It was not long before it became clear that more was needed. The company's rapidly growing client base needed a specialised installer to complement the engineered solutions and risk assessment strategies.

In 2006 Fire Prevention (Works) Limited was formed with Peter Clements coming on board. Peter had spent over twenty years in the electrical construction industry obtaining him a wealth of knowledge in the installation of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems alongside mechanical and other services. The combination of skills within the one company has not only allowed Fire Prevention to service all the needs of existing clients but to expand into many different business and industry sectors.
