Rental Property and HMO fire safety
Fire Prevention can undertake all works to ensure that your property is fully compliant under any licensing and civic government acts. We can maintain all of the fire safety systems to ensure the safety of the landlord and tenants. We provide maintenance for all aspects of rental HMO properties including PIR testing, Portable Appliance Testing, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide, and fire fighting equipment. In partnership, we provide Gas Safe installers to check and certify any gas appliance within the property.
Fire Sprinkler Installation and Inspections.
We can design, install and service a sprinkler system suitable for the property.
Our sprinkler systems are easy maintain and utilize CPVC (Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) pipework. Water supplies for each development will be assessed and if it is not possible to connect directly to the cold water main (water Authority approval required), a pump and tank can be installed to provide the required pressure and flow to operate the system.
Sprinkler installations are required to meet the guidance set out in BS 9251:2021 & BS EN 16925:2018.
Sprinklers have been used as a compensatory feature in developments where planning would not otherwise be granted due to fire service access issues.
We provide free advice as type, location and number of extinguishers that you may require. We also provide an annual maintenance service as well as full training on how to operate the BS approved fire extinguishers.
Fire Prevention can provide and install extensive fire safety signage to meet all of your fire safety needs. This includes,for example, Fire Exit route indication, Fire Action Notices, Fire Door markers and Fire Extinguisher identification.
Fire Alarms & Emergency Lighting
Statistics show that people are twice as likely to die in an environment where there is no working smoke alarm provision.
At Fire Prevention, we supply and maintain domestic, residential and commercial fire alarms and emergency lighting systems.
We also help clients with initial designs to meet requirements and local authority approval.
It is important to have an annual servicing of Fire Alarms and Emergency lighting, which we can carry out.
